The Uttar Pradesh Police is developing an application called “Trinetra” to provide data on criminals. The move was taken to reduce crime in the state.

The app will have a feature called “Know Your Criminal” which will show the complete history of a criminal, including their name, fingerprints, retina scans, and date of birth. Furthermore, it will also give information about the crimes committed by the individual, including details about the punishments they received and the rewards offered for their capture.

The police are currently recording the history of criminals in all 75 districts of the state, creating a comprehensive digital record.
