Tragic Demise: Bengaluru Boy in Coma for 6 Years Passes Away, Parents Seek Justice Against Doctor
In Bengaluru, a sad incident occurred where a boy, who had been in a coma for six years due to an alleged overdose of anesthesia, passed away on January 3. The parents have filed a complaint with Banashankari police, seeking action against the doctor.
The victim, Vignesh, was admitted to a private hospital in Subramanyanagar on April 4, 2017, for hernia treatment. During the surgery, the doctors reportedly gave an overdose of anesthesia, leading to the boy slipping into a coma.
The parents claimed their son received anesthesia three times during the surgery. They filed a police complaint, stating that the hospital management gave them Rs 5 lakh but didn’t take responsibility. The parents asserted spending Rs 19 lakh on their son’s treatment. They also alleged that when questioned, the doctor and hospital management threatened them.
After their child’s death, the parents filed another complaint, and the police have started an investigation.
