“CM Siddaramaiah Affirms Pro-Hindu Stance, Announces Visit to Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir”
CM Siddaramaiah responded to BJP’s accusations, affirming his pro-Hindu stance and confirming his intention to visit Ayodhya and the Ram Mandir.
Pushing back against the portrayal of him as anti-Hindu due to his decision to skip the Ram Lalla Murthy installation ceremony, Siddaramaiah stated his impartiality.
He made it clear that he neither holds anti-Hindu nor anti-Sri Ramachandra sentiments and announced plans to visit the Ram Mandir on January 22, sharing photos to counter false narratives.
Addressing the politicization of religious events by Prime Minister Modi and Sangh Parivar leaders, Siddaramaiah explained his party’s choice to distance themselves from the BJP’s ceremony while expressing continued respect for religion. Noting the similar stance of senior Hindu Swamijis, including Shankaracharya, he expressed curiosity about the reactions of the BJP and RSS.
Despite not receiving an invitation to the Ram Mandir inauguration, Siddaramaiah emphasized the party’s commitment to Rama worship, clarifying their opposition to BJP’s political maneuvers rather than the Ram Mandir itself. He announced that party leaders and workers would conduct special prayers at Ram Mandirs across the state on January 22.
